Timeshare Review: "Broome: Idyllic and relaxing”

Timeshare Review:

Written by Amanda Fry

We were invited to a Godson’s wedding which was to take place in July on a crocodile farm two-and-a-half hours west of Katherine, NT.  This invitation was the catalyst for a two-month trip, starting in the north east of Victoria, making our way to Lawn Hill National Park in Queensland via many interesting places along the way.

We began our camping when we reached Adel’s Grove in this National Park and spent most nights in our tent from there until we reached Eco Beach.

By this stage we were looking forward to a few comforts that camping doesn’t offer!  Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and given iced tea and a cool cloth prior to our check in.  We then found our way to our Garden Villa which was home for a week.  Our villa was very well appointed, comfortable and secluded.  There happens to be an excellent restaurant on site, the temptation of which was too much to refuse.

Whilst at Eco Beach in July, the weather was perfect (about 30 degrees Celsius) during the day.  As the weather was conducive to being outdoors, we took many walks along the beach and most of the time there were no other people in sight.  The migration of the Humpback Whales had just started so we capitalised on that by going on a Whale Watching Tour with Captain Kurt, and Dave and Fiona Harvey, who are experts in this field.  We weren’t disappointed as we saw about ten whales, including a female and her calf breeching, two males who became quite aggressive towards each other, a dugong, dolphins, brown boobie, two frigates, osprey and more, as well as a stunning coastline viewed from our boat.

The situation of Eco Beach Resort is idyllic and relaxing with direct access to superb, almost uninhabited beaches and calm seas.  Our week passed far too quickly and it isn’t an exaggeration to say that the resort surpassed our expectations in all ways.

From this haven, we then proceeded down the WA coast and at times going inland to camp in the National Parks where the gorges are quite breathtaking, Perth, (Margaret River will be explored on another trip), down to Albany, Norseman, then across the Nullarbor and home via the Clare Valley in SA.
